Currently the Crescent Cabs are only for the Standard Cab SD60's, but who knows what the future holds? Another question, how many GP38-2's, GP38-3's, GP40-2, GP59's, RP-M4C, SD40-2's, etc... will end up with a Admiral cab?
What exactly is the difference between an admiral cab and the cab currently used on the EMDs you listed? Or are they the same?
The Admiral cab is a redesign of the standard EMD cab. Short answer it meets current FRA crash worthiness standards. Some spotting features, the center windows are angled like on a ship to reduce glare, hence the name Admiral cab. The short hood does not have the rounded corner like those found on a standard EMD low hood. The toilet has been placed in it's own little room, instead of being placed in the middle of the short hood. The air conditioner unit has been placed under the floor, no more leaky roofs.
