This was coming in to Woodstock on that morning when 1401 was still running...

And this was when they were heading back to Ingersoll with 1401 not running anymore. 6508 had to work pretty hard to get this train moving...

What time did 1401 stop running? It was still going hard at 2-3

Is the railroad that owns them going to repaint them? I kinda like the 1401s paint scheme

This is their stance on repainting. (1401 is the ex-railink they mentioned)

I was talking to Jeff, the owner of OSRX, a few weeks back when I visited the shop in Salford and for him this business is still a hobby. That's how it started and that's how it still is. The only thing he does it take it more seriously than he used to be, as there are now 75 people depending on him for their monthly wages.

Some more tidbits...

With most major RR, about 70% of the revenue is being put back into the RR, with OSRX this is 95%.

Maximum speed on all the lines for his engines is 25 mph. He does not want them to go faster than that.

They went back to Ingersoll at 1:12 PM EST on August 17, that's when the second picture was taken. At that time 1401 was shutdown already. We were talking to the crew when they made their stop in Beachville, ON, where they had to drop off the second car they were pulling.
