Not only is this dangerous to life, limb and property (the awnings)..... the brake dust and oil dripping into the food for sale ain't gonna help either. My guess is this train only comes through once or twice a day, so the merchants have a good idea of when it's coming and prepare for it based on the awnings are already up before it passes. It's still going too fast in that situation IMHO! Either way... that's just crazy. !*hp*!

I take it you never been to Thailand? That is the life style there, not worried about dirt or oil and even trains running you over. Sanitation does not exist. I went there for R&R from Nam twice. Do not get caught with any alchohol and don't eat with your left hand.
