We as in North America are using less oil certainly per capital and will continue in that direction. Hopefully we will not stop the world for the snail darter as we progress in that direction.

And it only took two major explosions to come to that conclusion! Now what might they do about it before the next explosion(s) ... hopefully something before more death and destruction.
Two thoughts - idler cars between loaded crude tankers or refrigerating the crude during transport might help.
