Grab a rock, have a seat, and talk about the real world of trains.

What do you guys think?

Shortliner, I say go for it. I enjoy both Model Railroading and "V" Scale railroading. When I get burned out with one, I switch to the other. Here are a few photo's of my P&WV "N" scale Model Railroad. Since I'm an appartment dweller, I only have room for a small 30" x 80" hollow core door layout, but it keeps me off the streets !*roll-laugh*!

Again depends. If you want some "huge" coal drags, no. If you want an excuse to build a coaling tower and other facilities, look at how much the 4501 can burn in a single day!

From experience doing the same kind of thing I have just one more piece of advice: don't try to squeeze in too much into that room. Give yourself PLENTY of space between wall segments and island segments. In the end, it has to be comfortable to fully enjoy it.
