Norfolk Southern 934 loaded ballast train derailed West of Cresson,PA. Trains have been stopped from Cresson to Altoona and Southfork to Johnstown(maybe). Both East and West bounds have been stop for maybe 4-6 hours or more. The first move was 12:15am and derailment happened late noon on 7/10/13. Cause of the derailment is unknown.

Just go's to show it can happen to any railroad and not just CSX. These things must be a dispatchers nightmare when they happen on a busy line.

A single train being derailed is probably track failure

21 waiting just to go east well that should keep the dispatch team busy. I wonder how many mugs of coffee they are drinking while they work out how they are going to sort all the trains out.
