I'm looking to get my dad Railworks 2014 (Steam) for Christmas and know that he likes the Bangor and Aroostock line and more particularly, his favorite cars are State of Maine boxcars. I found the dickyjim.com website by Googling "Railworks Bangor and Aroostock," from there I made it here. I'm hoping the packs are compatible with RW2014? I see the two Bangor and Aroostock packs on dickyjim.com, and saw a post here saying the Steel Works pack includes a 40ft B and A gondola. Is that gondola the State of Maine boxcar my dad is always referring to?
Are the packs redundant at all? And are there any others? I didn't see much info on dickyjim.com about purchasing them other than a Paypal address. Just send a paypal payment and they'll be emailed to me?
Thanks
Evan

Here are the two boxcars in the BAR pack.

When you buy from him you get a link to download the pack with a password for the file so you can install it into the game. The gondola is not in the bar pack. I'll put a picture up in a bit.

Woah, those look great, thanks. Yeah I'm not even sure what a gondola car is (other than for skiing), but I'll google it.
Edit: Also, BAR packs 1+2 are different and I should get both?
Edit2: For you second reply, thanks again.

I looked and it's just plain brown with a BAR on the side.

Just bought TS2014 for 82% off through steam with Black Friday sales, and I had a couple more questions that I figured weren't worth a separate thread. With the BAR pack #1, #2 and Steelworks #1 packs, are those 3 separate trains? Or from their descriptions (at least for BAR #2 and Steelworks #1 packs) it seems like an assortment of cars. How do you select from those cars individually to add to your train? And it does work with TS2014 Steam edition correct? I ask mostly because the BAR and steelworks packs aren't listed on the "Steam page" but instead under "Special packs"
Thank you

Yes you can and must select them one at a time. In Railworks you can mix and match anything with anything. There is a simple procedure in the instructions to add rolling stock, and yes they all work with TS2014.

Great thanks, now if only the RailDriver Train Controller would come down in price for a cyber monday sale (although it's sold on the manufacturer's website so maybe it had one yesterday or something) but I'm not holding out much hope in that happening...

So to start I ended up buying just BAR Pack #1 for now. I just installed to test it out before tomorrow morning, and I'm running into a problem loading a couple BAR engines. I used the utility manager to install BAR-Frt-01.rwp and BAR-ug01.rwp. All the cars load properly except for the two engines. When I try and make a train and select either the BAR F3A or the BAR GP7 engines, the picture never loads and TS2014 crashes. I alt+tab out of the program and there's an alert box about a crash "dump" being taken. Is that normal? Other than that the State of Maine boxcars look great.
Thanks
