SW1200 kit now updated

Unread postby KCJones » Tue Mar 13, 2012 12:36 pm

The new SW1200 pack is now ready for downloading. As usual, to upgrade your Xtra pack contact me with your details and if you are on my records I will send you the new link.

What is there new? The cabs now have a radio following the pattern of the MP15DC. (Use the R and Shift+R keys to move up and down the channels.) The windows now get wet when it rains or snows and you have snow effects in winter. What else? Ah yes, as mentioned elsewhere, there is now a bonus Sweep for Canadian National fans. Not designed as a re-painting kit but of course can be. I have also renamed some texture (sorry re-painters) files and included messages in the model structure to deter piracy.

Thanks for your good work, Dick. Will previous repaints still work with your upgraded model?

To install the updated SW1200 basic, do we just install over the top of the older one, or uninstall it first. I'm pretty sure I have some repaints installed for the older one, mostly Bob's repaints for the NERW.

In my folder structure I have folders for:

CBQ1
NE_Black
NE_Black-dirty
NE_CSX
NE_CSX-dirty
NE_HC

Can't answer your question yet, but it looks like I have some work to do and detective work finding which textures he renamed ;)

It is quite obvious which textures are renamed!!!!! They are all the -01 files

Sorry Dick, was just trying to be cute. Havent had a chance to get the new SW1200 and been a long time since I painted them. I just run them now with the X Tra pack I will be emailing you about some day here.

I just ran three of my old repaints onto the new model, and had no issues. Even the tiger stripe cab back on the LINC looked good with no alignment issues. The animated fan is a nice touch, and adds a bit of realism.
