Pardon my ignorance but is Family Central RR a real-life fallen flag or KC's virtual railroad?

The coaches are very nice but suffer from a moire effect at distance on the horizontal body lines - could anything be done about that?

The FLC is a ficticious road originally setup for Rich Garber's MSTS Canton route. Based closely to the Louisville and Nashville. Blame Rich for that!!!!!! I use that paint scheme on my reskinning kits to act as a marker for your own work. Particularly relevant for locomotives. Remember most of my kits are for reskinning, though they can be used as they are. As for the moire effect, I need advice on that too.

Check this link in regards to the moire effect.

http://whatis.techtarget.com/definition ... 50,00.html

Here's another that describes how to remove the moire effect using Adobe Photoshop or Elements.

and here's a link for Paint Shop Pro.

A tutorial explaining the influence of MIPmaps on moire - http://www.3dtrains.com/~smmille1/tut1/
Also notes from the RS Wiki - http://www.railsimdownloads.com/wiki/tiki-index.php?page=Moire%20Effect&structure=Reference%20Manual

I'm no expert but things that might be worth trying are 1) reduce the contrast between the light and dark stripes on the coach sides, 2) ensure the striping width is a multiple of 2 pixels, 3) increasing the MipLodBias so the MIPs kick in further away 4) manually editing the mip maps.
