For that heavy snow, a free plough (plow)

Unread postby KCJones » Sun Jan 23, 2011 9:50 am

Here is a free Russell snow plow for fun!!!!! Just to help over the winter while I get down to the more serious business of building a rotary. After, that is, when I have finished updating the C class Shay.

does the plow have movable 'wings' on it? i took a closer look in the editor and they look like a different part of the model.

I spent hours trying to get them animated but so far with no luck. If I can crack the secret of LUA files I will release an update. **!!bang!!**

if you ever do release an update my suggestion would be to move the snow effects up slightly so the snow follows the conturs of the plow and not go through it. the only way i can do that at this time is go around 15MPH but at those speeds the snow cuts out. just wondering when you do release the rotary will you also make a doubble track version of the russel plow like this one?

I have updated the plow slightly making the snowblowing qualities slightly better. I also noted that the shadow was in the wrong place!!!

Thanks for the comments.

I have made one or two NEW modifications to the model and made a "snow-less" version. I will release that ASAP.

Dick.

It means no snow spraying up all over the place. Most inconvenient if the plow is part of a consist and there is no snow around to plough!!!!! !*roll-laugh*!
