Question about Union Pacific E9's

Unread postby ColoradoRailfan » Sun Jan 24, 2016 2:12 pm

I was wondering if the UP E9's from Britkits are still available, and would they be updated with more details? Also would it be worth owning the pack?

Hi, CRF,

Dick's website says 'Yes, they're available". Try URL http://stourbridge-lion.webplus.net/diesel.html. It's the (free) S04 kit you want, I think, plus the £6.00 Xtra kit.

Are they worth having? That's your decision... *!!wink!!*

Will they be updated with more detail? How much extra work would you do to (possibly) secure an extra ten dollars? *!rolleyes!*

Kind regards,

John M

15, 20, but maybe look at the trucks? Headlights?
Not saying its a bad model, I think Dick did a really good job on it.

He did, but that was a few years ago and it would require a lot of work to rise them up to today's standards, as regards to the detailing of the model, shaders, baked shadows, sounds, cab interior, working windows and doors, etc.
He may not wish to invest that kind of effort in an old model.

The E9 was a suggestion of mine, and I sent Dick the skins. He did a very good job of replicating the UP classic E9 set. That being said I did do some updated photo-real trucks for it. I can make them available if folks want them.
