What road name? Woodchuck Wood Chuckers inc.

I haven't thought yet. I will probably do the same system as my USRA models. Give you a few to choose from and the texture files to make your own.

Any suggested timber companies?

Dick

He he he he, I did a little Google to find how many companies, take a look at this list: http://www.shaylocomotives.com/data/own ... hFrame.htm

At the very top of the page, it says "search by Railroad Name" !*hp*! Have fun!

Out of 3354 Shay's built, I think each loco had one owner. This design is fascinating to me. Can't wait! !!*ok*!!

I have the USRA models. I need a step by step instructions to change the road name and numbers. I read the included instructions. Which file, where, etc. I have RS_Tools.

Where shays are still maintained today......

http://www.cassrailroad.com/locos.html

Each unit is pictured and described under the "Locomotives" drop-down menu there.

Cass has the only remaining fully-equipped shay servicing shop and crew around. They still make parts from scratch. Sadly, those knowledgable in doing this are getting older and scarcer.

This fact is also very evident in the aircraft industry, regarding the old style radial engines. 2 years before 9/11, I was taking aircraft mechanic's school just to get the knowledge about those old style radials. Sadly, the worst happened, then the school closed. *!sad!* Now, I'm probably too old, and school would cost too much to fulfill that dream. But, I still remember all that I learned, maybe someday I'll find a spot at some small airport and get to work on those old engines.

(sorry to get a little off topic *!!wink!!* )

You will likely be my son's next hero... he is a big fan of Dixiana (not sure why he is not attached to their other two).

We try to go at least once a year to Big Trees, even if we plan it as a picnic at Henry Cowell.
