As mentioned elsewhere, My 2-6-6-2 is now available.
Also there has been a slight upgrade to all my USRA locomotives. Mainly the number board illumination. I have also taken the opportunity to sink the doghouse slightly on the tenders that have them. They all stood too high and were in danger of hitting any low hanging bridge or tunnel mouth!!! This was done to circumvent any Union action.

Dick.

Matched with the proper tender, this would make a great stand-in for C&O Class H-6 2-6-6-2 "Allegheny". I wish I had the confidence to repaint this loco myself for the "C&O No.1309" currently in the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad shops for rebuild. Is anyone up to the challenge?

Edit: The C&O "Allegheny" Class H-8 is indeed a 2-6-6-6, I stand corrected.

Do you mean like this?

I thought the Allegheny was a 2-6-6-6 though?

There appears to be something a bit odd about this locomotive refilling with water. I am running in expert manually firing it and with everything going it won't fill back up when the water gets down. I finally got it to go back to 90% by stopping but then it stopped there. It went all the way down to 75% and the boiler pressure was falling off badly at that water level. I have never adjusted any of these values and don't want to mess something up.

More like this if you want to run C&O or even B&O. !*salute*! Haven't run it much yet. Need to see if I can recreate Buzz's water issue.

Here is C&O No.1309 Class H-6 2-6-6-2 at the B&O Museum in Baltimore before the move to Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. I believe it was the last Baldwin built 2-6-6-2 mallet for an eastern railroad.

It would look mighty good at the point of one hundred car C&O AAR 2-bay hopper drag heaped with West Virginia coal and a bright red C&O caboose bringing up the rear heading for Virginia tidewater.

injector problem. I must admit I usually run with the automatic fireman and forget the firing settings!!!! The 2-8-8-2 has the same problem. I will update the files later today but here is a quick hack.
In the simulation file find the injector section and edit the two FeedRateMultiplier settings to 0.95 and 1.15 respectively. I am sure this is not accurate but it works.

Dick !!**sorry**!! *!embar*!

There must be one other place that needs to be changed I think. If you have the HUD open it shows the water continuing to go down even though the percentage is coming up.
