Yet another steam loco upgrade!!!!

Yep another one. Mainly to improve the number polygon mapping. Also I have put each type's ancillary files into their main folder. e.g. "USRA_0-2-0-H\Sounds" rather than "Steam\Sounds\USRA_0-2-0-H". This, I hope will prevent the coupling only syndrome!!!
A warning though to those who repaint them etc. I have put them in .ap files to save space. This is a form of compressed file that the simulator can read. I use Winzip to open and close them. No doubt other similar programmes will do the same.
You may well have to un-compress them for your projects and/or instruct your end users to do so!!! !!**sorry**!!

Hi Dick,
Have I been too quick, with the exception of the light Mikado I get a message from SafeSync web page saying " Upload Incomplete

This file has not finished uploading, if you download the file the data in it may be corrupt and the file may not work correctly.

If you still want to download the file click here. "
, is this something I am doing wrong?

Also see attached pix about changing numbering. See Light Mikado (left) versus Heavy Mikado (Right. Similar tender on left numbering is OK, tender on right has a random number showing at top of side.
Also, the 2-6-2 has a black square in the number as does some variants of other locos. I can provide a list if absolutely necessary.

Mikado-L vs Mikado H(old).jpg

FL 2-6-2.jpg

Sorry to be bearer of bad news but it may be something simple I am doing wrong. The FL 2-6-2 and the heavy Mikado have not been updated but the tenders have (from the new light Mikado install) . I deleted the previous installed versions.

Regards

I will look into it!!! It is a problem of consistency. If you get the black blocs on the tender side change x to X or X to x The x, X letters represent a blank space the problem is the numbers have a positive and negative image in each file (cab side side +ve headlight numbers -ve) Whereas the cab side logo or tender logo are all positive. The actual texture files concerned are x and x2

As to the downloading. I am afraid you will have to allow the internet to do its thing. I am in the UK and I think the cloud is in Canada and you are in Australia!!!! !*brav*!

Hi Dick,
All downloaded OK Thanks. I also fixed the black square mentioned earlier, by using a combination of the Upper/lower case X and omitting one set of the number for the tender.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Question: What happened to the GN designated versions of the USRA Mikado? They has disappeared from the latest download. I cannot get them back as I deleted all versions to ensure I was up to date.

Hi, Dick!

Just put an order in for the USRA Light 2-10-2 - and looking forwards (maybe?) to the 2-6-6-2...

However, my eye was caught by your reference in this thread to the (comparatively uncommon) 0-2-0, which I understand was the remarkable result of a government 'efficiency' programme. I look forward to seeing an USRA 'Seesaw' in due course.

Kind regards,

John (William) M

The 2-6-6-2 is now on the production line. I have a feeling the 0-2-0 won't get off the ground!!! !*YAAA*!

Where do you go to update them. Do you have to go in and find all of your old downloads first.
