So i finaly bought this the other day and i am having the problem with the tender. Its probably a hitbox problem because as said above, you can get it to somewhat work by ramming it....although once it connects the tender srltays in the position in which it comnected, in my cases about 1 foot in the air.

I just bought the 2-6-0 and 2-6-2 (early Christmas present) and am having problems. Both tenders installed correctly using the RW Package Manager. However, neither of the steam locos show up in the sim, only coupler and crew. When I try to insert either into a scenario Railworks locks up and I get an SBHH message.

Curiously, both locos show up just fine in the RW Tools Asset Viewer and look great. As per the instructions, I installed the RWP file with the Package Manager and copied the "road-names" folder directly into the Railworks Source subdirectory. Did I miss something?

BTW, I sent the same email to Dick. Thanks for your help.

You will have to blow these up to actual size to read them, but this is what you engine and simulation files should look like. If they don't give me a yell and maybe I can send you something to get you going.

The only difference is that my 2-6-0_animations.bin file is only 3kb. Yours is much larger.

My bin file is 3kb. Do you have the GeoPcDx file? That's the one that's usually missing if only the couplers show up.

Both folders have all three files. I remember that the first time I installed the SW1200 kit, I had to move some files to the Source folder. When I moved the "road names" folder, I just put it in the main Source folder. Should it have gone somewhere else?

You misunderstand. I was showing him what mine looks like and mine runs fine.

There is a sound problem with all my steam locos at the moment. They will eventually be updated.
Here is a link to updated sound files for the Mogul and Prarie. Hopefully the will help with the crashing problems too????
Using the same technique you can update the sound for all your Britkits steam locomotives.

I want to thank Dick for his prompt and courteous reply to my issue with the Prairie and Mogul. Unfortunately, the fix did not help. As I tried to insert the mogul into a scenario this morning, it locked up again. I still think it's something simple but don't know where to look.

Just as an update, I am back at work today after our Christmas vacation. I tried to load the 2-6-0 and 2-6-2 onto my office computer which is a brand-new graphics "hogg." It is a I-7 with 8gb of ram and a 2gb Nvidia video card running Win-7 64bit. I encountered the same problems with the scenario editor only showing the coupler and crew, then locking up the machine. This is also a totally separate download.

Dick suggested a memory problem, but obviously this machine has plenty of ram and video memory. Has anyone else done a recent purchase of these models (post-RSX)? If so, did you experience the same problems. I found a post on UKTrainSim with the same issue, but no resolution was reported.

I'm open to any guesses at this point. BTW, Happy New Year!

A guy has just been having problems downloading my PRR pack. He had a message saying the file was not there!!! Strange so I tried downloading it and got the same responce!!! I re uploaded the pack and the problem was resolved!!!! I wonder if the cloud it is stored in is the problem. I will re upload the Mogul and Prarie. Give it an hour or so and see what happens.
