Believe me...I would love to be able to use my 2-6-2 and 2-6-0. They are great models. I can't begin to understand why my models don't work. Dick has been very helpful in trying to identify the problem. We've tried several things, but nothing works. One strange thing is that I have tried to install these models on both my home and office computers. Two separate downloads at different times, but no success. Dick even sent me a package of files directly from his computer.

I've purchased several of Dick's diesel models and have all his free downloads. They work just fine. My only issues are with these two models. When I saw this thread, I decided to try again. The problem is probably something small. I ran the installers just as they came...with no mods. I surely hope someone can help us diagnose the problem.

I bought most of his Steam Locomotives on my old Desktop but...sadly..couldn't save them when said desktop went up in flames.

Send me an email with the name you use on your PayPal account and a list of the missing models and I will see what I can do to replace them. My data base goes back to my first sale. It is all part of the service.

Can you take a picture of what your folder contains? Maybe we can see what is missing. If I get a chance tonight I'll take a picture of mine and we can compare. When you just get couplers there is always (at least in my experience) something missing.

Usually that means a GEO is missing.

The only difference I see is that mine says BAN File type instead of Broderbund Banner type.It is in essence the same but I don't know if calling it that might make a difference. Dick?

Can you show it with the file extension such as 2-6-0_animations.ban or 2-6-0.GeoPcDx please?

Papa, Dick, Anyone? Are those BAN files being called something else screwing this up or do we need to chase something else?

The Broderbund Banner type file association shouldn't have any bearing on it's use in RW. All that is saying is that the .ban file type is associated with a Broderbund program, such as PrintMaster. It's simply showing that Broderbund is the default file type to open those files, but not that another program can't.
It really shouldn't matter what program a file is defaulted to. Any program can still open and use it.
