Now are those snow covers snow covers or diesel fume deflectors? !*roll-laugh*!

I read somewhere on the net that because they are set over the blank ends of the winterisation hatches they are more likely there to lift any fumes above any following dome cars. On the otherhand I also read that UP had cut big holes in the w-hatches to let more air in so being snow covers would make more sence. The lengths of T section welded to the top of them would deflect any fumes higher. (Not that I know anything. There is no where high enough to get thin air over here!!) !*don-know!*

All interesting bits, whatever they are!!!! !*brav*!

Yea. Now that you have mentioned it, I am wrong about those covers.

Looks great Dick! Only complaint is that the trucks on this unit ingame appear to have a greenish tint, the PRR pack has pink tinted trucks. Any way to fix these odd colors? !!*ok*!!

Yay the green tint is fixed! (Or maybe it's just the lighting).

Hi guys,

I purchased the E8/9's from Britkits yesterday, and after a few hicups they are up and running.

I am having a problem with the exhaust, however, it stops at 27 mph or so. It comes back if you slow below 20 mph and apply power, but nothing above 27.

Any thoughts?

I also "regeared" them for prototypical speeds of 109 and tweeked the sound, but the exhaust is eluding me.

Thanks,
Rick
