GP9 Repaint Question

Unread postby AdmiralLeviathan » Thu May 21, 2015 4:37 pm

I'm probably just blind, but where can I find the texture files for the plow, horn and winter hatch?

Image

Also another question, are these parts optional? If they can be removed what exactly do I need to do to remove them?

Again I'm probably missing something obvious. Thanks in advance.

Without looking I believe they are child objects and are in the fittings folder.

I have checked this folder and I don't see any texture files which reference these parts;

All of the files seen here are the same basic body file from the Engine > Textures folder.

You are looking in the texture folders. You need to be looking into the fittings folder where the bin files reside.

Alright I missed the fact simply deleting them removes them, however I'm looking to edit the textures of the plows and horn.

The texture folders are where to do that.

Please see my second post; the texture files in the texture folder don't appear to have the right textures I'm looking to edit.

At this point I've decided to go plow-less so I won't bother. Thanks for the help though.

It would be more appropriate to remove the child entry from the blueprint. If you simply delete the child model it could cause all the other child objects referenced after it to 'move up by one' shifting them all over the engine.

Yeah, since I've made that post I've gone back and done it properly.

The textures for the plough and winterisation hatch are in the GP9-03 files
The horn colour is in the GP9-01 file first column of colour blocks on the right, seventh block down or second up whichever way you look at it!!!!! :D
