I have the same 'phantom headight' with the TR5. My solution was to edit the rear coupler data in the calf .bin file, setting it up with a standard knuckle coupler. once that's done, you can use the SW-1200 as the cow and it all works.
One of these days, I'll figure out how to reskin and edit the loco files to create the TR mismatched* set that switches the Terminal 4 docks in Portland OR.
*the calf for UP TR5 #430 was destroyed by a fire, and the cow for UP TR5 #426 was damaged beyond repair at the Henkel, OR hump yard when a runaway car collided with it. The unit that is used in Portland was comprised of these two leftovers, and is still working today.
