I would appreciate some modern stock.
You can do it Michael.
Especially those modern 3-part doublestack containercars with the connecting bogie between them.

I think Michael is very busy with the rolling stock that will be included in the Portland Terminal route.

Hi,
Sorry for the long silence, had a lot of work to do lately.
Been working slowly on a few new projects, none of which is complete enough to show any details yet. I will post more when I can be sure the project will see the light of day eventually, I don't want to clutter up the forums with even more announcements of add-ons that then seem to never get done (like my mill gondolas... (still working on them, sort of) or my WVN route

)
Cheers!
Michael

i was thinking maby for a future project it would be neat to have a ironworks set and a talcum set. so far all i have figured out for the ironworks would be one of your 70t or 100t hoppers full of pig iron, and a 50t iron ore hopper. for the talcone set i so far have thought of 50t iron ore hopper filled with talcum ore and the same hopper filled with talcum pellets. i don't know what else is used in either prossess freightcar wise but it would be a neat project!

Ooh, I very much like the idea of an ironworks. Dick (KCJones) Cowen's special packs page (
http://dickyjim.com/special.html) has a steel works set with the description
"NW2 switcher and slug, Slag cars, Ladle car, Hot metal (torpedo) car, Ingot cars, Flat cars, Gondolas. All in loaded and unloaded configurations.". An industrial steel route for that rollingstock and its like would be SO awesome.

I can't vouch for cars carrying coke, but I can vouch for iron ore cars (sort of). if you looked at BLLW's H21as, we do have some with iron ore loads modeled to prototype capacity. Michael already has PRR-built G39 ore gennies in his PRR, Penn Central and Conrail Freight sets. Not sure if I interpreted that right, but those are my recommendations.

those are all nice but i am looking for something like the 50T iron ore hoppers that are around the great lakes region or the ones that ran up to the docks in Churchill MB Canada. you know the ones that are only around 30ft long and not very tall.

Hrm, seems we're talking a project to go something along the lines of this...
http://www.ianztrainz.com.au/project3.htm...with those kind of ore cars, that's what you're thinking of, right?
There's the COA route in Eastern coal country, and up the C&O there's Ashland, KY...

Ah, cool. Yeah, that would be a nice set of cars to have for an ironworks... neat.
