Repaint Upload Policy

Hi,

Lately, I've received a few questions about my policy regarding repaints of my models. I guess there may be some confusion because at various stages over the past years, my readme's have had different clauses concerning repainting.

To hopefully make things a bit clearer, I'm putting a summary of my current repaint upload policy right here in this post:

In general, my rules for releasing repaints are quite simple. In all cases, I ask that the repaints be released as freeware and ideally here on RWA (but that latter part is just a recommendation, no hard requirement).

Further to that...

1) ... if no GeoPcDx is included in your upload: release what you want, from whichever of my original models (pay- or freeware), no extra permission needed.

2) ... if the GeoPcDx is included in your upload: you can release repaints based on any of the freeware offerings from my website. No extra permission needed.

=> ... if you are in doubt about anything, like whether a certain model is free- or payware, or if I'm the author of a model you want to repaint, just send me a message (PM here at RWA or email via my website).

In any other scenarios (for example, for inclusion in a payware project, or if you want to do substantial modifications of the Geo files) just send me an email and I'm sure we can come to an agreement.

And of course, repaint templates for many of my models are available upon request. Just send me an email.

Just a personal testament here, but Michael was extremely helpful when I was running into problems with my Guilford GP9 repaint.
