My wife and I got power back on last night and it was such a relief. Hurricane Matthew didn't make the easterly turn out to sea we were expecting and Kingstree got intense wind and rain. We have big limbs down but nothing as serious as others in our area. If this was a category 1, I hope I never have to endure anything stronger.

Yeah we got hit pretty good. I'm from Burlington, North Carolina and we had some flooding, trees and power outages around the area, but more South-East got hit the worst, up to 19 deaths so far and seem to be going up each day unfortunately. I think they prepared well enough in FL,GA,SC but in my opinion what is frustrating is that the tracker and the updates on its heading, was too close to comfort and no one really expected it to go the way it did, but I honestly see a pattern when most storms off the Atlantic get close to the state, we always get some remnants of a storm or whatever...
