Just like the title says, how do I choose a specific consist that I want to use and how do I give it orders? !*don-know!*

I think your first step should be to read the manuals that came with the game.
They are PDF files in the Steam/common/Railworks folder.

Plus you could check out the tutorials that Bob made for creating a scenario. They helped me a lot.

I know that Matt Peddlesten made a few videos on his Train Sim Live channel. I got the hang of it pretty quickly. It's actually quite addicting to me now. !**duh*!!

Amen to that!

So many video tutorials seem like a stage for the makers to show off how lightning fast they can fly around the keyboard controls and complete a procedure, i.e. how "smart" they are. Sure you can usually get it after a while, but I have had to repeat some of them ad infinitum before I caught on.

Bob Artim's video tutorials are done slowly and methodically, with clearly spoken dialogue. They seem purposefully designed for teaching. I got it the first or second time in every instance.

In addition to Bob's and Chacal's tutorials at the top of this forum, check out the File Library for more.
