Night Lights....

Unread postby RvA944 » Tue Aug 13, 2013 10:44 pm

Howdy All,

Well I got my night lights working. I even got the emissive glow to work on the outside flood lights. The only thing I can't figure out is how to get the point light to it's proper location. I can get it in game but it goes to the 0,0,0 location of my model. I know I'm missing something stupid, but I'll be damned if I can figure it out. Has anyone ever messed around with this and could possibly give me some thing to look at?

Open your model in the asset editor (not the blueprint editor) and then you can move the child object in the preview screen. Export and Save.

Looking great, I never had much luck with night windows and don't have a clue as to how to add lights.

Wow. That is really bright. You know you can make your own light emitters so you can control the RGB and radius of the light (those being a couple to choose from)? This also allows you to be independant from any other provider's models (say like Kuju US).

papa, papa, papa....... yes I knew about making point lights but it was like 2am when I made those and I didn't fine tune them just ran with the default setting and a pure white alpha so yeah it was bright :) Any who. Spent tonight figuring all the little details out and finally I can call this project finished!!!!! Time to pack it up and get it off to Amtrak351 for his route. On to the next project............ maybe I'll do something a little easier, like Hinton Station LOL

Of course, I have the 60's, 70's and maybe 80's cars covered.

Well with all that practice you should ace the 50's then :)

It's the advanced rounded shapes I can't get to come out right, the 60's were much flatter vehicles then we had in the 50's. Of course, I might try again later, but I doubt that I'll be successful.

I've already failed at a 50's car a couple times now, have much better luck with the flatter surfaces of a 60's car, such as the 66 Buick I made.
