Beanfields!

Unread postby RAILSOHIO » Fri Aug 09, 2013 9:06 pm

The Ohio route I am developing goes through lots of farmland, and I wish there were Soybean splines,or something similar. I know we have 3 ways to represent corn, but we have to have some variety. This would be a great asset,if a developer could come up with it.

This is a old post that no one responded to so I will ask again> Is there someone out there that can do this? It would be great!

Third one is mid season. By the end the rows are completely grown over.

Let me know if you need other views or something. PM me.

Try this one (spacing based on default and ScaleRail TrackRules spacing of 4.572m) - best that I could come up with in a pinch. Object contains textures for all four seasons.

To use, select RCAP: Soybean Line from the list of loft objects, setting the number of paths needed in the lower-left menu as you would track (note: each loft consists of 3-rows of soybean-like plants).

Model and texture source files included. It appeared a bit bright in Pacific Surfliner, but look good in default and other routes. Let me know if you run into any issues.

Looks like I may have to tweak the textures some.

Thanks for the time and effort involved to make this available. The local farmers are very happy to have something growing besides corn, now!
