I also built a gas station, one from the 30's.

I'm working on a Gulf station from the 1940s-50s.

That's about as politically correct as I can stand. !*roll-laugh*!

When I saw just a few days ago that gas will be $4.50 a gallon by Memorial Day, I decided that a tribute to our middle-eastern masters and overlords would be fitting. I won't even post a pic of the other one i'm doing, as there is no doubt it would be banned in short order.

No worries though. For those that might be squeamish about putting such things on their routes, a non-logo version of each station will be made as well. All will be released with the route on March 27 and are free for reuse and distribution.

I hope you didn't misunderstand what I said in the post above yours. I'm as far from politically correct as one can get.
I love that station. !*salute*!

I'd like to see a single pole billboard for the gas station, you know Eat and get gas, next exit.
The station looks sharp. Need price per gallon signs. !!*ok*!!

You could make the price per gallon signs as track linked items, like a mile post, and double click to change the price.

Another nice thing would be to have one of those freeway blue signs that say "Gas" and then the names of the gas stations at that exit/ahead.

No, there was no misunderstanding there Hawk, just adding a little info on the download. As far as price-per-gallon signs, there is a joke to that one to, but I haven't constructed it yet so I can't show a pic of it.

I got "lucky" on this station. A gas station near where I work closed down and moved out. Once it was empty, I was able to roam freely about the property and take photos for textures. Even got photos of the insides of the gas pumps when the workers removed the outer panels to replace them with the logos of the new owners.

BTW Hawk, the gas station shown is located in Dalton on the route. However, the buildings in the background are all re-constructs of the ones in downtown Acworth. I had pics of every building in downtown Acworth that I took when I was modeling for MSTS, and I decided to use them as general background fill-in structures in areas away from the tracks.
