Sketch Up to Blender issue

Unread postby emdsd90mac » Mon Jan 09, 2012 10:27 pm

Hi, I am following the tutorial for the Sketch Up to Blender transition. I can't get my object, a simple box, to show up in Blender. Any thoughts? I am exporting it as illustrated in tutorial.

This way seems to work best to put it into Crafter.

Try the freeware version of Crafter.

Sometimes the object doesn't appear in Blender, but that doesn't mean it's not there.

Save it as a 3ds once you export to Blender and then in Crafter choose File and then Import, once imported it should import fine.

I have heard that there's a plugin to better export from sketchup, but can't remember what it was.
