Airships are still in the skies. You can see them flying from Friedsrichafen on Lake Constance (in German der Bodensee) in Baden Württemberg, Southern Germany (the home of the designer of the WW1 Zeppelins) over the German side of the lake and surrounding countryside. The airships flying are not historical relics but new builds. Airships could be a partial answer to the problem of "electric planes" and now that Helium is generally available and is used instead of Hydrogen (the ignition of which caused the Hindenburg disaster) they would be safer. The drawback would be that a flight across the Atalntic would probably take about 30 hours! Who's rushing?

I've a good memory for whatever I can remember! If you wait for perfection you will never do anything but it doesn’t stop you wanting it. Age doesn’t stop you, it just slows you down. If you only learn one thing in life - learn to think how your actions and words affect others BEFORE doing or saying.

Modern airships luxury can't compare to the Hindenburg. Hindenburg was like a flying ocean liner with first class accommodations and all the other fine luxuries. Not like a modern airship with some economy class seating and that's about it.
Looks good Peters

I have the book "Dr. Eckner"s Dream Machines",that chronicles the birth and death of the "Airship". I found it very interesting. Always good to see new content in the sim.
