so there another topic about adding shadows to models that i wanted to ask but it was too old so i'll ask on new kind of topic. on route cn yellowhead pass there tunnel with built in shadow. is that same way they did that from the other post or is it something differnt?

With the advent of dynamic lighting in RailWorks in 2012, shadows are generated from the mesh itself & we do not need any shadow mesh.
For darkness in the tunnel use the Tunnel Occlussion.
