Loft Issues 2021.

Unread postby raptorengineer » Fri Mar 26, 2021 1:43 am

a long time ago i got lofts working in ts2021. but now it seem that it doesn't work anymore. i'm wondered if the new patch ts2021 V71.5 might have something to do with it? has anyone else having issues making lofts for ts2021?

i'm using blender 2.79 and Blender_2.6x_TS20xx_exporter_v1.4.7.
pivot points on object X:0.Y:0.X:0.
my textures slot: LoftTexDiff.fx then main texture in slot2.

here pic of what i get in blueprint editor.

I did a quick test and was able to build a loft and view it in V71.5a. So its not an issue with the new patch. It must be at your end somewhere. I can't tell what your loft is supposed to look like so its hard to troubleshoot. Maybe you have your UV's rotated.

PM me your blend file and textures and I'll check it out for you. But on first glance at your screenshot it looks like its not lined up right. You have your origin at 0,0 which is correct. But the near edge of your mesh should also start at y = 0. It looks like it is at about y = -1.2 or so just eyeballing the screenshot. The mesh should extrude from y = 0 in a positive direction along the y axis.

well it seems to have fixed it self.

but it baffles me cause few days ago i made tunnel and the pivot point would be at 0 in y.x.z points then i rotate the tunnel so it facing the Y axis and the edge of object is on red line. then make new blueprint file and set everything up but once i go in to the preview mode it didn't show up. so i did some adjustments and still nothing. so i stated all over again making tunnel cause maybe it bad coding in object. so i repeated what i did but i try something different i didn't rotate object to y axis and kept it on axis it stated out but move it so object edge is on line. and it showed up in blueprint preview as what you saw in first pic.

so now i try rotating object to y axis and adjusted it and it worked all of sudden. i think it hit or miss on this version of blender and you made have to start all over again on project if it doesn't show up right.

it not fist time this has happen.

long time ago i made house and imported in to train simulator but lighting on face of object didn't work like it be black, but the inside of house would be bright. but if i flip the face of object in blender then import it in to the game the outside house walled show transparent in game. so i started all over again from ground up and it worked. like you can see the wall textures when the sun hit it. and i was using blender 2.79.
