2D Plants And Weeds

Alright, I've figured out how to make 2d plants and weeds the old 4 face way, but I'm wondering how I could make one of those spinning face plant models to save on polygon level.

When you make one of those spinning plants or person models how do you do it so the item face is always facing the camera.

I use the shader called "TrainViewFacingFlora.fx" (with "Transparency" in the Alpha parameter).

And to make a group of the plants all I do is group them together right?

One more thing, in order to make it "pickable", put a simple polygon (I use a square horizontal face) in the middle of the group of weeds, in a node (or group) called "Selecion" (or "1_0100_Selection"). Texture that polygon with TrainBasicObjectDiffuse.fx, set the Alpha parameter to "Transparency" and make it entirely transparent.

I think they came out great, but my other counter part really doesn't want too many of them.

Besides, at the moment I'm too busy with book edits, getting ready for a book sale for my novel Salem And The Sphinx War.
