Interactive Log Loader

Has anyone run across an interative scenery object - a log loader. I would like to add this to a scenario I wrote for Rich Garber's Colton and Northern -- Haulin' Logs posted at trainsim.com.
I use Michael Stephan's RS Logcar and it would be nice to allow the loading of logs at Westin Valley Forresting.
Thanks.

I have run across a reference to it somewhere - will try and remember.
Incidentally - down loaded your activitiy and had endless issues related to the engine for some reason. Still trying to figure out what it is as I am bog standard as far as RS is concerned at the moment.

I think this was included with the Rail Simulator Program. If not, it came with Jim Ward's PO&N route. I don't remember dowloading it.
In the World Editor mode, you should make sure that Kuju is checked in the filter list. Then in the upper left popout down check "Object Tools", then miscellaneous in the middle left popout. In this long list you should find something called "lumber yard". Believe it or not, this is the log loader. Perfectly logical?
I stumbled across this when I was looking for a lumber yard a week or so ago.

Kevin, If your scenario comment was about krshaul1.zip, here is what I found to be the issue:
When I checked the scenario with RS Tools it came up with a missing stock notation for the SD40_2_Def2. I opened up the scenario bin file and found this entry for the SD40_2_Def2:
railvehicles\diesel\sd40-2\def2\engine\textures\sd40_2_def2.xml
The '\textures' in that line should not be there, it should read:
railvehicles\diesel\sd40-2\def2\engine\sd40_2_def2.xml
I made that correction in the scenario bin file and the scenario ran fine.

Here it as........
At least it has wheels!
From the wireframe it looks like there should be a similar one for containers? Yes? What is it called?

Try Object Tools/Track Infrastructure/Mi Jack Container Crane. This is the one used in the Cajon Pass Route. There is also a Container Crane-02 shown in the list. That one is European. Let me know if you get them to work. I didn't see the blue box outline or the gizmo to connect them to the track when I checked them out.

Now we need a crane to load the new flat cars/wood racks out in the woods.

UK train Sim does have a crane but it is one of those magnet ones. Standard in RS is also a construction crane. THere is a nice USA contain pack (very good) that also includes a small container crane similar to the "US" one. Prefer the European one actually (as perm the logging type crane). That - and the cranes already mentioned, are it as far as I am aware!

I can't find the Mike's Loader pictured above. Can someone point me to where it can be located on the menus?
Thanks.
Dick
BTW: I have had some problems using the defualt UP SD-40 engines with the logcars. I finally switched the engine to the FLC SW1200 and it connects to the logcars successfully. I'll rewrite my KRSHaul1 scenario using thi SW1200 engine.

I believe that the log loader is included as an asset in the Port Ogden and Northern Route which is available at UK Trainsim.

Also in the PO&N US version at train-sim.com. Mike Simpson and I were fiddling around trying to figure out how to clone default objects when the game came out, and that crane (clone of the European container crane) was the result. If you have either version of the Port Ogden & Northern installed then you already have the log loader which installed with it, in the Miscellaneous section listed as "LumberYard". Note that if you extracted a route from the Cajon Pass (or if you're trying to place in the Cajon Pass) you need to set the object filter for Kuju Rail Simulator on. Routes based on default will already have that set.
"Let me know if you get them to work. I didn't see the blue box outline or the gizmo to connect them to the track when I checked them out."
Like a lot of games, Railsim shipped before it was finished, so there are a bunch of orphans and stray cats (unfinished test objects) in it. Try further down in the Track Infrastructure, US Container crane is a working model of the Mi Jack Container Crane. For the European model (single stacks) as you noted the Container Crane-02 is a non animated model, so look in Miscellaneous for TestContainerYard01. Guess that one passed the test and they didn't get around to renaming them.
Anyway, I've been looking around and it appears Mike's log loader was never packaged separately, so I'll see if I can figure out how to upload it here.

NjMDNlMzQ=Got this new Raildon'tWorks game, since the original lumbercrane was in the Kuju folder, official packager don't pakage from the Kuju folder, I converted it to run from an independent \Assets\Simpson folder and packaged as a .rpk, so it should install into Railsim or Railworks.
