I'm probably asking for something impractical, but I'm asking anyways.

Is there any possible way to convert a piece of rolling-stock or a locomotive into a scenery object?

I've scoured the internet, but have found nothing on the topic. Many threads were asking, but were left unanswered. I am asking here because I feel someone would know.

If anyone can provide a guide, or offer any advice as to how to get started, please, I would greatly appreciate having it.

I suggest you have a look at the scenery document in the dev docs (here in the file library).
This will explain the scenery object blueprint.
The blueprint has a link to a shape file. You can link to a rail vehicle shape file.
