HI,
I made 3d sleeper for my track and after exporting i noticed a very bad flickering on the sleepers. Is this because of the texture or the shader(i use trainbasicobjectdiffuse, also used the norrmal texdiff).

AFAIK, the Moire effects are a result of Z-buffering. At a distance, the graphics engine cannot make enough distinction between close together planes of your 3D trackbed, sleepers and rails.

Other track creators might help you out with a few tricks to reduce the glimmering.

I recently added 3d sleepers to my 3'6 gauge track, and noticed this annoyance.

You should give the TrainUprightViewFacingFlora.fx shader a try. Since afaik these are not actually lofts, they don't need the loft shader. Adding this one reduced this annoyance to where it's barely noticable for me.

I tired but it did not work for me. Still trying to figure out the problem. *!sad!*
