Next freeware project

Unread postby spec5sx » Mon Sep 27, 2010 1:55 am

For my next freeware project I'm working on a set of Water Towers. I'm planning to make several different models in varying heights and styles. I just finished the the first one. Here's a screenie for ya.

I'm going to try an go all out on these. Stencil Shadows and the whole shebang. I'll keep you posted.

Nice work! I imagine it will look really impressive on some routes.

That's neat stuff, man. Can I ask what software you use to create models for RW?

Well I can tell it ain't 3DCanvas.

Looks like 3dsMax because of the E-Light shadow bake.

By the way the towers look amazing. !!*ok*!!

Yeah. I like that one the best as well. I think I need to dirty them up and rust them out a little. They seem a little too clean.

Yes, if you give them a bit of a weathered look, perhaps a bit of dirt / rust like you suggest, then I think they'd look about perfect. :D Still, they look quite impressive as they are. I'd like to be able to use them on some of the routes I'm making.

I mailed John a few days ago on facebook and asked him to update some of his projects (especially Cascade Subdivision).
No answer till now. *!sad!*

I hope he still works on RW stuff. He's very talented.
