well i crunched them as far as it would go without "destroying" the mesh, you can not see any difference in the model.

Did'nt mention your mesh ,,, just my dislike for the algorithm in the Max included Pro Optimzer / MooTools product ... it's an opinion ( mine ) .

ohhh no i have the stand alone Polygon crusher, the one you have to pay for seems to work well for me

although i am seriously rethinking the spiral barbed tape one, that helix is a polygon hog, although the framerates in the area i am using it havent really suffered
i am going to make the straight sections on a procedural loft to make laying the fence easier
