Loco Maintenance

A bit of a melodramatic video, hosted by YouTube, featuring the heavy maintenance facility on the WIP-NSAND route.

Do you trigger the doors to open, or are they just cycling open and closed?

Give that man a prize! You are correct - it's the same level crossing script that I used for the SMM Xing signals. The door itself is a separate asset from the building, placed at the pre-made opening. A link is placed in front of, under, and behind the door. As far as animation goes, the opening anim is 10 seconds, open is a looping 2 seconds and will stay open as long as the loco is on the mid-link, and the closing anim is 10 seconds.

Getting through the door with a locomotive is harder than it looks. Two or three times i've run through it before it was fully open, and twice I wrecked inside the building fumbling for the locomotive brake!
