You will find the pickups packaged along with my other Riverland Lines assets, placed in with the O'Dell County Traction & Co route.

And they're freeware.

Very nice job. Max can be a real booger until you get use to it. Been working in Max for about 5 years now and I'm still getting use to it's quirks. PM me if you have any questions, I'd be happy to help.

Thanks for the encouragement. I was playing around with this build in regards to being able to change it and the situations that might be involved within the changes. Like if you make changes to the structure, what happens to the UVMap, and with those changes will one be able to keep using the same texture without changing it? So, it has been a total learning experience. I have to admit, I never used any plan drawings of this building. I created it off the cuff by imagining a couple of old railroad stations I had on a model railroad I had.

So here's the changes, which aren't that apparent in the images.

Max is really powerful, and I admit, I really haven't pushed myself much to learn it in the past, but lately coming back to it, I like it much better than Blender as I find Blender not as intuitive. People say the learning curve of Max is extreme, but I would have to say that is not the case. The thing that helped me a lot was the actual Autodesk tutorials and just diving in and trying what they were trying to teach. UV mapping was hard at first for me, but after learning the UI I understand it a bit more. No way am I even close to being able to above an amateur, but I love being creative.

In any event that is a excellent piece of work. It would find a place in any route I was working on. I hope you share it.

Thanks Buzz, I appreciate the encouragement. I may release this, but I want to refine it a bit more, like several texture versions, and a paint kit. I also wanted to mention, in case some don't know, and have had an interest in 3Ds Max. Autodesk offers a full blown educational version of 3ds Max to educational accounts, but its limitation is you can't make money from your creations I believe. I can't tell you how to acquire the app, you will just have to figure it out at Autodesk as I did, and I highly recommend this app for 3D model work as it is totally intuitive. I'll post more about this kit as I get further into it.

I do think it's looking great, almost need a freeware working water tower to go with it, something for the steam locomotives.

Myself though, I have no idea how to make a water point work.

Thanks Jon, from what I gather, for a water tower you not only need a .IGS file for the structure, but also a .IA file for the animations, along with several blueprints, one to control the whole unit... .bin, an activate... .ban for animation, a deactivate... .ban for animation, plus the .GeoPcDx for geometry, and a TgPcDx for textures. So, as you can see I have been studying. And, when it comes down to it, I am sure someone has already made one to use as freeware, like the RWA one but it is donationware. Hopefully repaintable, but I may try one just for the experience.

I was driving to the station today in Neuville and found an old friend, he bought a new pickup. So, I took a screenshot of it.
