Problem with multiple scenery blueprints

Unread postby SAR704 » Sun Jan 18, 2015 12:45 am

How many scenery blueprints can you actually create? The blueprint editor seem to be reluctant to create item Scenery blueprint 4.xml. It says failed to create scenery blueprint 1, file already exists. Are you supposed to use a single blueprint for scenery, or can you have heaps?

Just asking, since I am rather unfamiliar with these blueprints that require several of the same type, such as for scenery items etc.

You can have hundreds without issue. I would recommend, however, that you not use spaces in your file names.
Cheers!

Thanks Marc

Anyhow, I've given the semi-auto setup a try (The one where you click on the exported item's IGS file, and click create blueprint and it's more or less filled in for you), and this seems to have worked out ok for me. Got several buildings into the game now, rendering properly more or less which is good.

However, strangely, I'm having trouble with a tree. For some reason, the tree renders as a textureless board. I've even tried the auto setup in the blueprint editor mentioned as above, yet I just can't get this tree to render at all. I don't know why it's been so easy to get hotels and shops with transparent textures in the game, yet I can't get this tree to render. It's basically just a transparent scenery item, so technically it should render without issues.
