Hi All,

Been a while since I've been here.

Since the update to Railworks, Tori's excellent route is no longer functional on my system....tried re-installing it (all the way from her beta 3), to the latest 4.5 version...to no avail....I either get several broken consist errors, or it crashes RW. Could someone walk me through the install procedure? I have all the old files in my backup. I have completely removed C&O from my system (Railworks), and want to start over and see if that will get it running for me.

Any suggestions or assistance available out there?

I tested the installation on a clean TS installation, so if you have all the packages needed, following the instructions should still work. I am still editing in TS'13 but I have the 4.5 beta installed on TS'14 and it works. These two docs might help if you don't already have them...

Look in the library for Bob Latimer tutorial and follow it through. That and do a search for PONtrack file. Delete it evry place it lives. Those two things should fix your problem. You will need RWTools to do Bob's fix. His tutorial is in the Learning Center. This all fixed mine so that it runs fine now.

Yes once I removed the PONTrack file it now works fine with TS2014 for me.

Ok, thanks for the file Tori...and I'll hunt down the PON files and eradicate them forthwith!

One additional....I'm assuming I can just install the files for the 4.5 and check for the pon files and should be good to go....right?

It sounds like you're on the right track. Be sure you get the right Scalerail (SP, not the default) or your tunnels will have no track. There are scenarios that use common rolling stock; they're the ones listed as "(Black)"

Ok, did the check for the PON track files...none found

Re-installed 4.5 of the route, and still crashes the sim.....I dunno what's going on....very weird.

Have to be more specific... when does it crash? Do you have other routes, particularly freeware, that are working? Did you follow the steps in the instructions exactly... in order?

It starts to load, and about the time that it should show up, it crashes....all other routes (including freeware) are working perfectly....makes my head hurt!

As to the tutorial, I'm not certain which tutorial you mean....for C & O?? I'll check and see.

I checked for a tutorial for the C&O, and there isn't one listed for that route. Very weird stuff going on.....before the update to RW, it ran smooth as silk.

Oh well, maybe when 5.0 comes out it'll get it squared away.....AAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!

The tutorial is for "third party routes" not the c&o. Go look.

Yup, I've run all the tutorials, and have been running Tori's route prior to the upgrade on RW, once that hit, it no longer worked. So, I'll wait and see how it goes with 5.0. Thanks for the suggestion.

BTW: I installed the assets, then the route, but this time I didn't do the 'upgrade' for 4.5...and it came right up
