DASH 8-40CW RELEASED

Unread postby eyein12 » Sun Sep 01, 2013 10:07 am

Hey guys here's a WIP shot of the new and improved dash 8 wide cab unit. This is the NS version that I will be releasing.

Untitled.jpg

This obviously isn't done it needs more decals and such so i'll keep you posted on it as it progresses..

I completely re-worked the model so every dimension is correct. the stair sets are now corrected. I cant get any better on the UV mapping and baking this is as good as it gets because every single detail was baked out. you can see it hopefully in the pic. If not you will in the next series of pics. I will be working on the new cab this week. I expect this to be out by mid to late September.

THIS IS A FREE UPGRADE for those who got the dash 8 wide cab packs.

More close ups to come soon

heres a couple more of the nearly complete exterior model. I just need to put in the animations and it will be set. I plan on making a weathered Version as well. I will be putting stairway lights and accessory lighting on it as well.

I have a few things to work on still to get it just right. More pics to come as development progresses.

From what I've seen, if there's a pony in the stripes there's most likely a unibrow.

will there also be a version of this with the red DPU lights still in the nose? they were present on NS/CR 8353 before it was repainted into its current scheme.

CSX kept some of the marker lights though I believe NS removed them when they repainted them.

Gah dang Ian! I must say your work has increased in quality 10 fold over the past couple years, its insane! Great work my friend!
(P.S. For when you make the B40-8W over, can I put a plug in for a P32-8BWH? I have some sounds just dying to land in one of those. *!lol!* )
