What? But I haven't finished Colton, Rascal and Fort Kent. I haven't even bought Ohio Steel yet.
Slow down, Richard, I can't keep up!

Been looking at the screenies on Richard's site, very impressive route with lots of hand built scenery assets and ground textures, another winner from his drawing board...... !*salute*!

Incidentally, do we have any appropriate locomotives/boxcars in any of the different Arkansas' Railroad liveries, I have a couple of KCS engines, but, wondered if there was anything else around, please ?

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

Have driven just over half the route so far. Very very impressive level of detail.

Whilst I have never been as far west as Arkansas (got to the Mississippi on one visit) it has a real world feel about it.

Thank you.

I have been through that part of the country a bunch of times and I am amazed at how Rich has captured the feel for the area. Many hours will be spent running this route.
!!*ok*!!

How are the framerates in areas with his custom assets? Reason I ask is his routes are the only ones that slow my framerates to a crawl.

Hey Trevor,

Have you tried his routes since the 2013 update? The reason I ask is because I had the same experience. FPS in the single digits on Rich's routes, and locked at 30 on every other route. But after the update, I thought, what the heck, I'll give 'em a try again, and all of them run smooth and locked at 30 now just like my other routes. Even Dover yard is fine.

Give it a try if you haven't.

for me they seem to be some of the best ive seen of his routes, I am running on almost top settings and getting around anywhere from 25-35fps across the route.

This is definitely a route worth acquiring. Some early reactions (I've only run the introductory scenario):
1) Took a long time to install; don't give up on it or try to rush it. [Rich's package password is extremely apropos in several senses.]
2) Features a very long Sunday driver section that long-run scenario lovers will appreciate (while guys like me will exercise the AsyncKeys option).
3) Garber does functional RR crossings!!!!!!! !!*ok*!!
4) I wish he'd used a different engine. Not only does his choice have a lousy head-out view, but its chatter mentions that unmentionable Foreman.
5) The route's only tunnel portal (at least northbound) has been blocked by a landslide. !*not-ok*!
6) Part of the Sunday drive section involves a roller-coaster subdivision ... very exciting with AsyncKeys engaged!
7) Portals, portals everywhere!!!! !*brav*!
8) Full-length siding markers everywhere. !*not-ok*! !!bang!!
9) There's only one turntable and it's just window dressing, which may be why its roundhouse doors are sealed shut. !**conf**!
10) Definitely looking forward to running the rest of the scenarios.

A big thank you to Rich for another jewel in the crown. !!howdy!!

And that's enough gab from the Old Prof for now ... !!jabber!!
