I release the oroginal DD40X in october of 2009. Two year later and with the RW3 so close I think it is time to update this model. This is not just an update but an entirely rebuild from scratch. I want to show you the first polygons.

will this also have upgraded sounds aswell?

Just throwing it out there, but maybe a DD35A and DD35 are in order?

Awesome! Got this when it first came out. This and the Santa Fe Chief my 2 favorite diesels! Gonna be a great year for Railworks.

I want to develop the DD35 but I´m looking for a good blueprint and more info.

This is my favorite piece of motive power. The original model was nice, this new one should be sweet. Thanks so much for all the hard work. One thing that would be cool might be a static version that could be placed as an object. As a few of these are on display in parks it would be neat to be able to recreate those scenes.

Thanks, but I can´t find where to buy it. It says "Sold Date:01/03/2008". I can´t find it at ebay.

This is awsome news! As i was going to email you to see if you were going to update for RW3. And i was also going ask about the strobe. I personaly think the current sound is fine, i like how you can hear it farther than most other locos. And the horn is my favorite out of every loco i've heard!
Anyway, i cant wait...

Thanks for the kind words. These have always been my favorite locomotives. You just can't beat big GM's. You can find lots of great videos of these brutes on youtube, I like the older ones of them working back in the day.

Don't know why I didn't think of this earlyer, but if you need some Hirez photos of a DD40x, I can get some for you, we have one at the St. Louis transportation museum, which isn't too far from my way home from work. Its been about 8 or 9 years since I've seen it, but I'm allmost positive its still their! Let me know if you would like some.
