Is that strange arch that shows the name of Bakersfield (possibly Bakersfield?) visible in the route, or not? It's visible in ATS (American truck sim).
Personally it gets annoying, but just my 2c worth for anyone that gives a....

FYI....... control point Allard on that map no longer exists today. For eastbound trains out of Bakersfield, it was the first siding after Tunnel #2 and then followed by the Bealville siding. They merged the Allard siding with the Bealville siding decades ago to make one long 13,270 foot siding...... the longest on the route.
On the dispatch radio, they commonly refer to the old Allard section of the siding as North-Bealville and the original Bealville siding section as South-Bealville.

I have came across a certain someone that fits this description accurately. Some folks just have no sympathy in some circumstances.
Perhaps it'd be better if I just don't post on this forum at all. Hence no updates to WIPs. Thanks for your encouragement.

Is this route, as it stands, worth buying?

My personal opinion:
It's one of the best routes for Railworks, only some 3-5 miles don't have scenery (west of Caliente).
I would see that as an invitation to try my first steps in the editor, as it is only placing some foliage and easing some terrain.
Of course this would not finalize this route completely, just filling this small gap.

I recommend. It's a iconic piece of American Railroading and very well done even if it's not quite complete.

Judging from the map, it doesn't even reach Barstow even San Bernardino. maybe I will re-create the techapi pass from the cajon pas alpa (tomcat) route but I will make it towards long beach first (WIP). after that I will make the techapii fitting. I need data + maximum speed of the train road. and I am looking for the data. can you help me?

Adding either one of your proposed extensions to Tomcat’s Cajon-Mojave route by itself will be a daunting experience. Adding both will be a supreme challenge. You are basically saying you are going to add the DTG Pacific Surfliner route plus the extensions to Long Beach AND the Tehachapi Pass route to the Cajon-Mojave route. I wish you luck! Truely I do.....

I'm not here to tell you that you aren't able to do it, but route building is a very long process and not for everyone. Especially when you are considering how much you are extending this route. Many people who set out to do route projects give it up after a few months.
