Are you a fan of steam era railroading and early electric operations in the US? Do you like the modern day Stevens Pass route but always wanted to see what it might have looked like over half a century ago? Then we have good news for you:

This new route is currently being created by the same team who built the first (modern) Stevens Pass route for Train Simulator: Rick Grout, James Friedland and me (Michael Stephan). The electrified Stevens Pass route is in its core a backdated version of our BNSF route, featuring track alignments and station layouts based on historic GN documents, custom built electrification, interlocking, block and train order signals, many new lineside structures and buildings, backdated towns, and of course rolling stock and locomotives appropriate for the period. This modestly priced payware route will ship with an all new model of GN's mighty and powerful Y-1 electric locomotives in green and Empire Builder livieres plus an assortment of freight and passenger rolling stock. Following the route's release, additional freeware scenario content will be released that uses extra freeware GN equipment such as Rick's Alco RS-1 or my EMDs -- and also a completely new GN S-class 4-8-4 locomotive that will be released as freeware around the route's launch.
More information is available on Rick's Website:

Three Routes in One
Our electrified Stevens Pass will include all the electrified trackage from the construction of the second Cascade Tunnel to the end of electric operations in the mid 1950s. The route runs from Skykomish as its western terminus to Appleyard in the east. The original alignment over the Pass via Martin Creek, Tye, and the first Cascade Tunnel has been modeled in our route, allowing you to model operations during the years of construction of the second tunnel and to the abandonment of the original alignment shortly after the opening of the second tunnel. Also included is the original aligment from Winton to Leavenworth through Tumwater Canyon.

Future Expansion
Following the release of the electrified Stevens Pass, we will turn our attention to the remainder of the original route. A 'phase 2' of the electrified Stevens Pass route will be created and published at a later point, including backdated trackage and scenery from Skykomish to Everett and Delta Yard and of course also including the Northern Pacific and Milwaukee Road trackage along the GN in that area.
Cheers!
