Hey guys!

We at the audio shack would like to announce that we have finally released our soundpack for more accurate sounds for the BNSF Chicago Racetrack DLC.

http://milwaukeenorth418.wix.com/theaud ... udio/c16rb

All sounds are true to life with proper audio to give you the true immersive feel of running Chicago Metra rail.

***Also please note, these sounds require the Chicago BNSF Racetrack DLC to work. If you do not have it please do so in order for these sounds to function properly. Thank you.***

Amazing work! You should market your soundpacks to DTG! :D

Also, what are the specs of your PC?

Many thanks! I have tried and tried again but no luck. Though now remember a bit they did once take my sounds but one, they did not give me credit and two, they botched them all to hell. Those sounds were the Bombardier Bi-Level. But none the less I will keep doing sounds for DLC. Currently I am working on releasing something for the shoreliners if anyone is interested that is.

Also, what are the specs of your PC?

I believe you sent the sound used on the Metrolink and Coaster sounds specifically the bell release, horn, and bell sounds. I watched a video of the Tri-Rail bi level cab car and it uses the Surfliner horn and bell.

Yeah the Tri-Rail used the surfliner horns some of the sounds were from my BBL soundset meant for Open Rails but the Coaster was the main one to use all of them or a pee poor attempt to use them. But I will be doing a set for those which will be done PROPERLY and not half botched like DTG did to them.

Thank you! I'll post updates on what I am creating here once I make progress on more sets.

Based on all my research I also believe the OpenRails BBL (Bombardier BiLevel) soundset is unreleased. If it is released for TS2015/2016 it should sound tons better with all the appropriate sounds you sent them. I also noticed only the Coaster cab car's horn can be quilled, for some reason it's impossible with the Metrolink. Do you know how to send sounds to DTG because I have a horn for the ALP-45DP that is accurate and recorded off an ALP-46.

Metrolink horns don't quill, unless they switch to the K5LA, but normal everyday use horn is ON / OFF no quill at all.

I tried to use these files with the Miami F40PHL by copying over and renaming the 3 proxyxml files to the appropriate places. The horn one works fine, but there are no engine sounds inside or outside now...is there something different about the Miami F40 that would preclude these from working with it?

Thanks

I think that is because newer DTG releases have a new audio file structure. There are separate proxyxml files for the engine, exterior sounds, cab sounds, and horn. There are usually three, all the exterior sounds (and engine), cab sounds, and horn sounds were the only proxyxml files. Bogie sounds are an exception to this rule.

Completely different setup from the Metra F40s. They are meant for the Racetrack and crossing them over with other sets normally will not work.
