Todays update : apart from some orange diseasel polluting the view, certainly looks great. To me, while not proto, will be the perfect route for a re-skinned Connie to be working the transfer freights etc. We can all dream...

*!!thnx!!* for the update...we are getting closer by the day...

!*cheers*!

Michael and the team is getting closer - another update showing route guide and manual. between this and the re-worked Brauer Lumber route I and going to have a !*hp*! because I just dont have the time to enjoy any of it *!sad!*

I guess it will still be there when I finally do, and by about that time, Mike's 800 will be hitting the rails and I will then really be in a dilemma

!*cheers*!

Hi,

More progress on our way to the first release, the route now has QuickDrive.
It won't be long now until we can release the first version.

Hi,

The first release of the VNHRR is just around the corner. We're currently testing Release Candidate 3. :D

The initial release will be "Version 0.9" -- since the route is complete for version 1.0 but rolling stock and scenarios aren't yet, we have decided to publish this "Pre-Release Version 0.9" for those who just don't want to wait any longer, or get access to the hundreds of custom assets. This pre-release version will be offered at a 20% discount over the regular retail price of version 1.0. All customers of this pre-release version will of course receive an update to the full version 1.0 free of charge. In addition, pre-release customers will also receive a 20% discount on the next expansion of the route, version 2.0 (most likely Windsor Locks to Hartford, CT).

We have launched a new website for the Virtual New Haven Railroad. Please visit here (temporary link, we'll have a proper domain name soon):
http://www.stephan-michael.de/vnhrr/index.html

On this website you can find more information about the route, lots of new screenshots, and download the manuals for the route.

I'll do that soon after I get back from holiday, in September. I'd like to get the route for myself too.

Cheers,

You must have some warning filter installed that sends you a mail any time anybody types "Connie" !*roll-laugh*! How did you find this so quickly in this thread?!

Hope you have a good break. Now year end is out of the way, and waiting 7 months to have them approved, I have also managed to wangle 3 weeks off, and am off to the sunny (well, it had better be) USA. Planning to road trip from Denver up via the Powder River basin, the mallet at Rapid City SD and then some touristy stuff across via the old GN or Milwaukee Road to Glacier National Park, via Yellowstone & Grand Tetons and then a long drive back via Utah and Soldier Summit to Chama for a 5 day freight charter on the Cumbres & Toltec before 24 hours in the flying tube to get home (don't particularly like that part ) By this time the updated TS 2014 will be out and the wailing and gnashing of teeth should have died down so I can see if it is worth downloading straight away, thanks to the early adopters :D

Looking forward to seeing how she looks - not proto I know, but she's steam *!lol!*

Nah, I just have trouble sleeping, and browsing the forums on my phone while lying in bed helps to send me off

...

You lucky ... chap! I hope one day I can do the same kind of road (or rail) trip. I watched quite a few videos of the Cumbres & Toltec when I was doing the cab view of the Connie, to get a feel for what it looks and sounds like on the footplate. To go there would be a dream come true. I hope you take lots of photos - you could post some in The Jungle perhaps.

I'll try to go along to one or two steam heritage lines in Scotland while I'm there in August.

Cheers!
