Showcasing the new dimlight feature I put in. its a keyboard command. i will attach a spotlight to it so it shines a little on the nose
Its still a WIP obviously im not done with the brake pressure values you can see that on the computer..nothin there. however the the speedo and digits and everything else is tied in perfectly and show up the way I want them to. Last night after I posted this I fixed alot of things with the cab. no more white outlines on the texture maps, fixed missing polys on the cpu handles, fixed some of the display z fighting on the cpu. wiper animations were cleaned up. I dont know how to add lens flare so for this unit I might just take a lens flare with an alpha punch and use addatex and over lay it with the dimlight.
The horn will not be that K5la, it will be hopefully a newer P5 or a leslie. I dont really have access to horns so if anyone knows where i can find a good pls let me know. The old FDL 7 sounds by Woody will be updated by Wally soon, once he gets around to it. in the meantime I'll release it with what I have.
Will be ready by Friday. Sorry for the delay.
Ian

yes im sure there will be. But they shouldnt be done on this model, wont be prototypical. The ATSF,BNSF and CN have a winging cab roof which is different from this ex-conrail cab. not to mention high numberboard lights and ditch lights. i will be doing that version in BNSF H3 scheme for the seattle sub. you can repaint that one then when its released.

Have you considered doing a version of the Dash8W with the modified radiators that some railways have? They basically threw a big set of louvers on top of the radiators to help control the cooling temperature during colder weather, its noticeable from trackside. So far I have found that CN, CSX, and NS have done this to some locos but I haven't found any proof of BNSF doing the same. (As we know, CN's dash8's that are painted in the regular scheme are ex BNSF/SF instead of the NS/CSX/CR model)
