Love the Drive-in. We will be able to recreate O Winston Link's classic mid 50's "Hot Shot Eastbound"

Will alterations to Ver 1 be over written with Ver 2?

Unread postby ozinoz » Thu Oct 02, 2014 9:28 pm

Hi guys...

I have Ver 1, which I love, but thought I might add some vegetation and trackside clutter etc, particularly around the engine and carriage storage etc, but am reticent to start if what I do will be over written when Ver 2 hits the market, when ever that may be. Is that likely to be a problem?

Grant,

Michael visits the thread as often as I do. I presume he's not viewed today or he likely would have already advised you.

Foliage and vegetation is one of his realms, to which he recently amended and extended a substantial portion with improved & new items.
However, I haven't seen this recent effort and can neither 'confirm nor deny' you inquiry, but I will mention it in today's communication.

Hi,

We've added the new 3D trees along the entire route, including the old trackage of version 1. That means that any changes you do locally before the 2.0 update are highly likely to get wiped out by our route expansion. The trees upgrade also included some further clutter/weeds additions.

Cheers

Main Street Hartford nears completion.
The Parking Garage, Fox's & BT's are finished. Sage Allen and the smaller retailers half a block away are ready for period textures.

And while one of us has been playing with virtual concrete, brick and glass, the other got his hands on virtual steel and paint.

These two new GP9s have been the result.

Are those custom models or are they the Britkits ones? They look to me like they have parts of the sd7/9 on them.

One must have had a great view over the busy traffic with all the buses (and a few years earlier, trolleys too) from the top floor of that building (or should I say palace?)... well, unless you had that Coke ad right in front of your kitchen window. *!twisted!*

Those GPs are our own models, built/kitbashed from my SD7/9.

Will they be released in different schemes like the sd7/9 on your website?
