so with the amount of detail you are putting onto the body of the model are we going to see the same amount of detail on the bottom half of the locomotive, mainly stuff like the wiring piping and accessories that are along side the frame to be modeled?

That's the plan although I can't promise anything at this point as we didn't test the model yet in the game.

It takes me really long now due to school before I can work ahead and be able to post an update of the progress, so sorry for the recent lack of updates. Anyways. Here's a new one (nearly ready to be exported) *!!wink!!*

The axle is kinda floating if front of the wheel, what's that about?

Adding those few extra polygons to the axle would take a matter of minutes! They could have put it here if they wanted to, it just looks odd without a bogie over it.

But you would not mirror and flip the axle. In fact you may not even get to see the axle after he add motors and the frames.

Exactly and there's still a bit more to cut out as only a little part of the axle will be visible.

As long as it is actually the only part visible at all, it might be worth it to add a low poly axle for the time that somebody does see between the bogie frame and the wheels, however awkward of a situation that may be.

Why not let him model it they way he wants? He seems to be doing just fine without anyone else's input.

Yes, it's a fine model, but we don't have all of it to see yet, it's all part of the final product and even the small stuff should be taken to some consideration for the best final product. In the axle's case, I was simply expecting Nathan to have gone beyond normal expectations, but if it doesn't make any difference (the missing part of the axle not being visible, that is) then it's fine. At this point, the model isn't finished enough to determine that. I'm not forcing anyone to do anything, I'm making them think about doing so.
